Aprašymas

The concept and the description of switch rods was first introduced in 2008 when I designed and developed the first switch rod ever. The purpose and the idea of a switch rods was clear… to design and develop a rod that could be used both as a single hand rod and as a double hand rod when needed – and a rod you can switch to either hand, depending on which side of the river you are on. Why I decided back then to name this rod/concept “A true switch rod” was because you could use this rod, not only as a single hand rod or double hand rod, but you could also easily “switch” the rod over to the left hand (if you were right-handed) and thereby have the line/loop traveling on the opposite side. In this way, it did not matter if you were on the right bank or the left bank, or if the wind was on your casting arm.

Therefore, I can proudly state that I invented the original switch rod and the switch rod concept, despite what others in the business may claim. Since 2008, I have continued to improve on this concept, and it has been a great success for salmologic.

The Reborn 11’0” 18 grams/278 grains rod is yet another great switch rod from us. For the last 3 years, we have worked intensively to improve what was possible, yet keep the original switch rod concept intact. By using our 2024 graphene+ adaptation, we have created a new switch rod with a very deep action and a stronger top that will stay up when all the energy is being unloaded. With this upgrade, loading the rod and directing the cast has never been easier.

If you are considering a light rod for salmon- and sea run brown trout fishing, and want a real switch rod, you need look no further.

Specifikacija

The Reborn 12’6” 24 grams/370 grains is a surprisingly powerful double hand rod that will present smaller tubes and double hooks on light lines and long leaders with breathtaking grace. It is a great length for covering any salmon- or sea trout river in summer conditions and the line weight is absolutely perfect for presenting deceiving flies under those conditions.

In my mind, there is no doubt that it will help you increase your success when fishing a pool effectively, without compromising the gentleness you need to catch fish.

Our goal with this rod was to make a rod that gave you the feeling of it being an extension of you, and not just a casting monster which had to be controlled. I’m very confident that we have succeeded in this endeavor, as this rod is extremely well-balanced from top to bottom. The action of this stunning fly rod is deep, but firm without being stiff, and when fishing this, the hours will literally fly by in its company.

I have designed and developed many double hand rods with this line weight over the years – but with this new 24 gramsrod, I strongly believe we have taken it to another level! It will enable you to fish more effectively and simultaneously increase the feeling of being a ghost, akin to being the mist on the pool.

It has taken three years of re-designing this rod size – changing it, casting it again and again, changing parts of it once again, more testing and lots of fine tuning- to make it just right. Trust me, this rod is not “just another” rod. It has been modified and perfected and is the ultimate light double hand fly fishing tool.
